Robert J. Chambers, age 69, of Newton, died Monday, January 8 at the Lemuel Shattuck Hospital in Boston.

Born in Cambridge, MA on December 19, 1948 he was the son of Rita (DeRose) Chambers and the late Robert R. Chambers.

Robert was raised in Cambridge and was a graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin School. His career was spent in the Real Estate field and he wore many hats, including property manager, sales and ultimately, retiring as a self-employed real estate agent. He played guitar in a band when he was younger and was an avid New England Patriots fan.

Robert is survived by his son, Robert Chambers of Cambridge, his daughter, Jacquelyn Chambers of Atlanta, GA; his brother, Edward Chambers and his wife Cheri of Jupiter, FL; and his two granddaughters.

His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Patrick Church, 71 Central St., Stoneham on Friday at 10am. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Arrangements in the care of the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, Stoneham.
